The Davis Mountains Hummingbird Celebration is a 4-day public event held every other year in Fort Davis, Texas and surrounding communities. Far West Texas Christmas Bird Counts (CBC’s)
Christmas Bird Counts are a census of birds in the Western Hemisphere, performed annually in the early Northern-hemisphere winter by volunteer birdwatchers and administered by the National Audubon Society.
The counts are the oldest citizen science survey in the world and are now entering the 122nd year of participation. The Christmas Bird Counts occur every year from December 14 to January 5. To participate, you may contact Cecilia Riley through the contact form below.
